Beginnings in Photography

It took some time, but I eventually started going out again and slowly started interacting with new people via social media. Fascination with Chornobyl

Planning the Trip
Sarah had visited Chornobyl before, and her images були brilliant! We began chatting про Chornobyl, and she mentioned she wanted до скоєння trip again. Arrival in Ukraine

The Journey to Chornobyl

Exploring the Chornobyl Zone
Reactor Number 5

The Workers' Canteen

Various Locations in the Zone
Pripyat Hospital

The Morgue

Pripyat Apartment Blocks

We walked upproximately 16 flights of stairs to get to the roof, as lifts були від order, probably due to the block having no power.
The view from the roof was amazing and peaceful; it was a strange feeling seeing all the abandoned buildings with nature slowly taking over. Walking on the roof in the heat was a tad scary. Це felt дуже spongy and unsafe, з тільки забитий handrail to stop us from falling.
The Amusement Park

The Local School

The Azure Swimming Pool

The Jupiter Plant

В front of the building appeared official looking, але back the building, there was a set of secure, safe-locked doors—possibly where the secret components were made. The Abandoned Ferry Terminal

The Duga Radar Station
After clearing onether checkpoint, next on tour was the Duga Radar Station, also known as the Woodpecker. From looking at photos, ви можете реально understand the scale and size of this structure; it is huge! We went down into underground control center, яких monitored US missile attacks. The North Villages

New Friends in the Zone
